The Battles I Choose Not to Fight

Last night I used a rubber spatula to move Rorys ketchup from the bottom of the plate to the top of the plate. He seriously freaked out that I didn't squirt it into the normal spot (on top of Lightning McQueen). He should know that the fact that I gave up being upset about him dipping absolutely everything into ketchup was huge for me.

Rory melted down because he wanted to get his shoes from inside his new closet and not from the shoe basket downstairs. He screamed until I came upstairs with his shoes and put them at the top of the stairs. So he could put them in the closet and then take them out of course.

Both kids had to be the ones to lift the orange juice container out of the refrigerator this morning. Rory likes to use his huge muscles and Shelagh just likes to be in charge.

So far this is working !

Many of the symptoms from the autistic spectrum (ASD) say that the kids are overloaded, don't know which details are more important - in short they are over stressed !

C. was diagnosed with ODD & Aspergers. Lately we are trying the herbal "VAXA" products. We give him ATTEND in the morning an the school nurse is giving him D-STRESS at noon. We did not see immediate results, but within a few weeks we did notice a difference. The pills are much to large for kids to swallow, so we open them up and mix them with Stawberry Yogurt. This is a trick we developed because our kid is also sensitive to taste. also to avoid conflict you could call this a herbal vitamin.

C. does still "blow up" from time to time, but over al C is doing much better. If you try these products we would like to hear your results.
