Who is this strange union-suit-wearing oddity, you might ask? Yes, it is my husband being helpful as ever and determined to find a way to cut shallots without tearing. What you can see is his Christmas get-up and his ski goggles, which despite not being able to see very well, did prevent his eyes from tearing up. What you can't see is the water running and a candle lit in the background as well. I told him my old roommates grandmother swore that by wearing her husbands tighty whiteys over her face she wouldn't tear at all; but he insisted that that would not be necessary and that the orange goggles would do just fine.
